League Update 3/18: Leagues Postponed until April 1st

Hi everyone, we wanted to send out another update on the latest situation with our Lacrosse Leagues. In a significant increase in measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus, President Donald Trump on Monday issued guidelines that called for Americans to avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people. These guidelines are being adopted by all of the school systems in Georgia so schools will remain closed at least until April 1st. We use school fields as the base of all our operations, so we have no choice but to suspend all operations until April 1st.

YOUTH LACROSSE: April 1st is a Wednesday. If Fulton County allows us to use the fields we will continue practice on April 2nd and normal scheduled time of 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. We will be communicating updates as we receive them.

ADULT LACROSSE: If Fulton County allows us to use the fields, we will have our opening weekend on April 5th (Sunday) with the games starting at 10:30 AM at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School. Due to increased demand we have re-opened registration for both the Men’s & Women’s Leagues. Please note we limited spots. If we face a prolonged delay after 4/1 we will cancel the league and provide refunds. Our focus then will then shift to offering an extended Summer League. We’re in talks with our field partners to begin the league earlier in May with it going for 10 weeks. This is all dependent on how things shake out in the next few weeks.

ALTERNATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE: We realize that the players in High School have been left without a season. We are in talks with our field partners to offer a High School Summer League that will play for 8-10 weeks starting ASAP. This is an idea we are kicking around, but will not know more for at least 2-3 more weeks.
