Opening Weekend Set for June 21st

Hi Everyone,

It has been an interesting few weeks as we’ve waited to see what would happen with our Lacrosse league this Summer. The good news is that we finally have secured fields and obtained approval to start games. We are aware that kicking off the League on fathers day isn’t ideal, but honestly that was our only option. We were able to put together a 7 week season that will be played at two locations. Weeks 1 & 2 will be in Alpharetta at North Park and Weeks 3-7 will be back at Kell High School. We are hosting Mens, Mens 32+, Women’s & High School leagues. I can say right now we have 4 teams for the Men’s Open and 2 teams for Men’s 32+, but we need more players in the High School and Women’s Division. I know that during this challenging times we’re all worried about our health and safety. We will be implementing rule changes & making changes to our facilities to make you safe as possible.

League Details:

  • Games Start 6/21 4PM at North Park in Alpharetta
  • Games will start at 4:00 PM, game times will be set right before opening weekend
  • Registration open for: Men’s 18+, Men’s 32+, High School & Women’s 18+
  • Price is $130 and includes Jersey & 7 Games. Anyone charged a “Late Registration” previously is getting refunded the difference.

Lacrosse League Update: 5/26

Opening Weekend Moved to June 14th

Hi Everyone,

We wanted to communicate the latest updates for the 2020 Atlanta Lacrosse League Summer Season. As of today we are postponing Week 1 until Sunday June 14th. We are awaiting the final guidance from state officials on when Phase II will begin in the State of Georgia to allow sporting events. We are very confident that we will be able to start playing games soon, however we are dependent on the State. Right now we are slated to play our games at Kell High School again, but since each county is different we have been working on securing backup fields in case each county opens sports at different times.

Things to note:

  • Spots are limited so please register today! We are filling all teams on first come first serve basis.
  • Our proposed 2020 schedules are posted to our website SCHEDULE PAGE
  • Please REGISTER NOW, if the league does not happen you will receive a full refund

We are still working through what our procedures will be once the league opens up. We are awaiting final guidance from US Lacrosse who will be publishing their SAFE RETURN policies the week of May 25th. We will publish these once they are made available.

Summer League Registration Open!

Hi Everyone, with the Georgia Governor allowing select businesses to reopen this Friday, we feel in a place where we can at least open registration for our Summer Lacrosse League. This year our goal is to start the Sunday after Memorial Day, but we have June 7th & June 14th as alternative launch dates. We will be playing an extra week this year with 8 weeks of Lacrosse planned. We are adding a High School Varsity division. Youth, Men & Women’s Spring Leagues Canceled

Hi Everyone,

With the Federal Government extending the social distancing policy for another 30 days we have no choice but to cancel the upcoming Youth, Men & Women’s Spring season. We will begin to initiate refunds over the next few days. You will receive an update from TeamSnap when that happens and it typically takes 2-3 days for the money to refund to your bank.

We will now focus on our upcoming Summer League. With social distancing in place until April 30th we are optimistic that we will be able to start our Summer League in Mid-May or at our usual planned date of Sunday May 31st. We will be publishing a tentative schedule on our website and will be opening registration once we lock up our plans. Everyone from our Spring League will be notified via our email list, but also check out our Facebook Page & Website for more information.

Thank you for your interest in playing with the Atlanta Lacrosse League, we hope to get back on the field with you soon!

League Update 3/18: Leagues Postponed until April 1st

Hi everyone, we wanted to send out another update on the latest situation with our Lacrosse Leagues. In a significant increase in measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus, President Donald Trump on Monday issued guidelines that called for Americans to avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people. These guidelines are being adopted by all of the school systems in Georgia so schools will remain closed at least until April 1st. We use school fields as the base of all our operations, so we have no choice but to suspend all operations until April 1st.

YOUTH LACROSSE: April 1st is a Wednesday. If Fulton County allows us to use the fields we will continue practice on April 2nd and normal scheduled time of 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. We will be communicating updates as we receive them.

ADULT LACROSSE: If Fulton County allows us to use the fields, we will have our opening weekend on April 5th (Sunday) with the games starting at 10:30 AM at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School. Due to increased demand we have re-opened registration for both the Men’s & Women’s Leagues. Please note we limited spots. If we face a prolonged delay after 4/1 we will cancel the league and provide refunds. Our focus then will then shift to offering an extended Summer League. We’re in talks with our field partners to begin the league earlier in May with it going for 10 weeks. This is all dependent on how things shake out in the next few weeks.

ALTERNATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE: We realize that the players in High School have been left without a season. We are in talks with our field partners to offer a High School Summer League that will play for 8-10 weeks starting ASAP. This is an idea we are kicking around, but will not know more for at least 2-3 more weeks.
